Hospice of Jefferson County Announces 2024 Make Every Day Matter Award Recipient
Hospice of Jefferson County is honored to announce Retired U.S. Army Reserve Major General Robert J. Kasulke, M.D. as the posthumous recipient of the 5th Annual Make Every Day Matter Award. This annual award honors a member of our community who through their time, actions, talents and dedication has made significant contributions to Hospice and our community. The
Make Every Day Matter Award recognizes individuals and organizations who serve as role models for compassion and service and strive to make the world a better place with a passion for helping others.
“There is no one more deserving or fitting to receive the Make Every Day Matter Award than Dr. Robert Kasulke. His unwavering dedication and contributions as Medical Director to Hospice of Jefferson County and as a founding member of the We Honor Veterans program, his compassion for the patients and families, and the heartfelt friendship he shared with the staff for over 25 years will never be forgotten,” said Anna Patterson, CEO of Hospice of Jefferson County.
“Dr. Kasulke’s guidance, wisdom and natural ability to elevate others has had a profound impact on me personally and professionally,” said Andrea Paratore, Home Care Coordinator, Hospice of Jefferson County. “The beauty is that I know countless others share this same sentiment.”
“Dr. Kasulke’s loss to this organization will be felt for years to come, not only because he was our Medical Director and mentor but because we lost a friend. As we attempt to navigate without his presence, we will mourn the loss of our dear friend for the foreseeable future and always remember him with a smile,” said Nancy Morrow, Director of Volunteers, Hospice of Jefferson County.
